Every year, for as long as I can remember, I have welcomed the summer solstice with open arms. I look forward to this day for weeks before it arrives, imagining the joyous experience of the longest daylight hours, the arrival of summertime. The light nourishes, energizes, brings on nature’s bounty and provides endless hours for play. And in a special way celebrates the light in all of us.
