At the Forest’s Edge

12” x 12”

Acrylic on panel (framed)

When I was old enough to go to “sleep-over” camp my parents sent me with my friend, Thea, to church camp in the mountains of Pennsylvania. It was here that I learned to love the way that the forest smells in the morning as the sun is rising and I can still feel the cool tickle of that morning air rising. From here the forest gives way to the open land and all the glorious colors that come with the sun. I loved the morning forest. If you don’t pay close attention you can miss it and with it, the very best part of every day.
