April 2022 Newsletter

Hi Everyone,

This is one of the most splendid seasons to play outdoors and there are lots of opportunities to do that with me this month and next. I hope you will find a way to join me at one or more of the events I have planned. It would be fun to reconnect after all these many months of managed contacts.

First up is our spring OPEN HOUSE at Heron Crest Studios on Saturday, April 30 from 12-4pm. I have lots of new work so please come out and visit with me and my fellow studio artists. We have ordered a glorious spring day along the creek for the occasion.

Next, I am really thrilled to say that I will be part of the exhibition “Rolling Hills, Open Skies, Calm Waters” at the Cerulean Gallery in Philadelphia, May 18 -June 12, 2022. Please join us on Saturday, May 21 from 2-5pm for an in-person reception. This exhibition is featuring some of my favorite pieces from my Imaginary Landscape series and I’d love to share the stories and the childhood memories that are the source of this new work. If you can’t make the reception, I hope you will be able to visit at another time and I would love to arrange to meet you there then.

Finally, I will be exhibiting as a guest artist in the Chester County Studio Tour on Sat and Sun May 14-15, 2022 at Studio 26. The Downingtown fine arts photographer, Geoff Burgess, has graciously offered to share his fantastic gallery space with me for the event. It is one of the largest area studio tours with 165 artists and 68 studios and so much fun to be had. May weather, perfect for the occasion, is on order!

Find studio locations and all you need to know about the artists to plan your day with us at https://www.countystudiotour.com/

In addition to the tour, the Chester County Art Association will be exhibiting our work in their West Chester gallery in May. The opening there on Thursday, May 5 from 5-8pm is a perfect opportunity to preview the amazing art that will be offered in abundance by each artist during the studio tour. It is also a great way to acquire some new work in advance of the tour and to support the fine work of the Chester County Art Association.

Looking forward to seeing you at one or more of these events this spring. And as always, I send my thanks to you for your interest in and support for my artistic practice.

Best,

Sally
