I don't know about you but this summer just seemed to fly by at warp speed. Lots of seaside fun and art making was on deck and now we are just days away from the official start of Fall. So a quick update and lots of invitations follow.....
I'VE MOVED!!
Twice this year! The most recent news is that I have moved my studio two doors down the hall in the Aston Mills Arts building to a wonderful new space. It's more spacious, allows me to consolidate two separate studios and faces the same wooded hill, Chester Creek and most importantly gathers the same glorious north facing light. I'm already busy working on larger things and finally getting longer studio hours after the household relocation project of the last two years.

MINIS, MINIS. READY TO LAUNCH 25 DAYS OF MINIS
Summer was consumed with the production of 30 little paintings and they are framed, priced and ready to go. Getting the administrative side (an often overlooked aspect of being an artist) of this show ready was a big job but I managed to meet my personal end-of-August deadline.
I'm very happy with the collection and can't wait for the daily reveals- December 1 through December 25. SIGN UP below for daily links to the new works of 50 artists. WE'RE OPEN FOR BUSINESS
Fall is the season when we open our studios on multiple occasions so I hope you'll be able to come see me, my new space and new work. Here's the schedule and the address. Come to one, come to all!
Sunday, September 29 (12-4p): Delco Arts Week open studios. Most of us will be working so this is a chance to peek behind the scene and experience how our art is created. Gorgeous fall weather also promised.
Friday, November 15 (5-8p): VIP Opening Reception- You're Invited! Light fare and lots of art to kickoff our double header weekend of open studios!
Saturday and Sunday, November 16, 17 and 23, 24 (11-5p): Open studios all day on two consecutive weekends with lots of new art, artists and guaranteed fun just in time for the Holidays.

COMMISSIONS........CALLING ALL COMMISSIONS
I just completed my first decor-specific painting- a large one that is headed for our own new primary bedroom. And while I rarely paint for a specific location I took on this project as a personal challenge. And it was that indeed- in size, color palette and subject matter. The space demanded a quiet, abstracted landscape and we all know how quiet my work normally is!
So I've decided to selectively take on commissions of this type and would love to hear from you if you have a need for which my work might be a match.

Pet portrait commissions continue to inspire me particularly since they are so heartfully appreciated by my pet people. Pictured here is Ollie, a charcoal labrador retriever, whose personality was a thrill to recreate.
