Spring 2024

Hi Everyone,

Spring is becoming summer before we know it so I hope that this reminder will cause us to meet up at one or more of the art events I've planned this season. Come to one or to all three! But please do come.

-The YELLOW SPRINGS 51st ANNUAL ART SHOW is now underway through May 12, Mother's Day. I visited the show myself yesterday - a bit late since I've been traveling - but this show just doesn't stop getting better every year. I do think this is the best yet. Thousands (YES!) of fantastic fine art paintings and sculpture/ceramics at all sizes and price points. Some of my work has already found a new home which is always so satisfying to me. So get out the calendar. You are only a week away from a year's wait to dwell in this visual celebration.

-Next up is the CHESTER COUNTY STUDIO TOUR (STUDIO 35). May 18 (10-6p) and May 19 (11-5p).

This is one of my favorite events of the year! This tour I’ll be back with my good friend and host, Dr. Geoff Burgess, and his astonishingly beautiful landscape photography, studio and gallery.

Each artist on the tour is offering a unique piece of art for $90. My 6x6 acrylic painting, Summer Solstice (No 7), will be available at 10 am on May 18th. So if you are inclined get to Studio 35 early, please. I hate to disappoint!

The tour is so much fun with so much to discover. 200+ artists in 76 studios. And a chance to cruise around the vast beauty of Chester County at the height of her spring. Divine, really. No better way to enjoy art at this time of year.

-The WELCOME SUMMER SHOW is a chance for us all to get into that spirit of bare footed bliss before the solstice. Seven artists from Aston Mills Arts will be on hand for an early celebration of our next season. Friday June 14 (4-8p) and Saturday June 15 (11-4). Tons of fun planned. Some of us will be artmaking so you'll have a chance to see the process up close. Please do join us.

Really looking forward to being together with art this season. It's been too long!
